Marcy Garriott (producer, director, editor, camera)

Marcy Garriott is an Austin-based documentary filmmaker. After a 15 year career as engineer, manager, and executive with AT&T, she left in 1995 to found a non-profit video production company. La Sonrisa ProductionsÔ focuses on educational and community service projects. Marcy produced, directed, and edited the educational video, "Heart of Antarctica," which won a 1999 Gold Apple Award from the National Educational Media Network, and recently received a Kids First endorsement. Last year, she completed "Swing Hard: Helping Kids Succeed," a profile of an inner city kids sports organization and its energetic founder, Jackson Cole. "Split Decision" is Marcy’s first documentary feature.
